Author, Andrea Clinton – Post Blog Talk Radio Summary

Last Friday, October 8th, 2010 on “A Touch of Grace“, this remarkable and courageous author allowed me the honor of an interview and I must say, It was indeed, one of my best shows yet.  Her humble demeanor throughout the interview made it a delightful experience for the host as well as the listeners who tuned in.  I suppose what stood out the most during our hour-long discussion was her sincerity as she spoke about her novel “Life Knows No Bounds: One Who Loves You More” .  The female characters in this thought-provoking novel are young, beautiful and ambitious, however, there is a twisted existence that most of them are living.  Andrea’s vision as she wrote this intriguing piece of literature was meant to be a deterrent for women who choose to use their male companions for monetary gain, and even though it is fictional, the situations are very much reality. Within the pages of this page-turning novel, the repercussions of a life lived by using others comes to pass; some of the characters will rise up from the ashes to become self-sufficient, while others will remain shackled out of an unwillingness to step out beyond their own fears and insecurities.

A Lupus diagnosis is what sparked the flame within Andrea to step out from the shadows of doubt to pursue her literary dream, and this novel is one of many projects that this gifted writer is working on.  Another project in the making is a biography on the Clinton Family which includes her famous uncle, Mr. George Clinton of Parliament Funkadelics.  In addition to her ambitious literary pursuits, she also founded and is the CEO of a non-profit organization called People Helping People, and her dedication to being a source of light for others struggling to survive in this naked economy is unyielding.  Her selfless way of living is an action and not a word.  She disclosed during the interview that she encounters young women like those she wrote about in “Life Knows No Bounds…” and she speaks to them about having a better life without using others to get ahead.

One of her motivation’s in life is  that she wants to “Leave an answer to a problem…” as it relates to young women using men, which clearly outlines the spirit of Andrea Clinton.  Her giving nature is what really makes her a gem in this vain and materialistic world, and her grasp on literary history shined throughout the interview as she spoke about realism (a theory that came from the 1800’s) ,naturalism (which came from realism and pretty much outlines why we do what we do as humans), and she also even made references to a literary masterpiece “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”.

Life Knows No Bounds: One Who Loves You More” is a highly influential read and, for anyone who is dealing with young women, I highly recommend that this novel be placed at the top of your purchase list.

About G. D. Grace of California

After the release of his fifth self-published novel, “Ripped & Ready (season 3)” GD ramped up for a new endeavor in radio, and on September 2, 2010 his first #BlogTalkRadio show premiered. His first two guest were two literary colleagues from two different sides of the tracks — one a former prison inmate-hustler, single father, turned author — the other, an accredited teacher and single father first time author. The intense on-air climate of cultural differences on the show, at one point, became thick enough to slice with a butter knife, however, it was a very successful event. Despite the clash over marketing approaches both authors remained professional and the outcome was a highly entertaining and interesting show. The seasons that followed incorporated talent from all walks of creativity, so in addition to the authors, GD’s guest lineup included poets and recovering addicts, motivational speakers and entrepreneurs, filmmakers and professionals in sports training and health, and also established artists from highly successful television shows, as well as, NAACP & Grammy Winners. Many shows gave us an inside glimpse inside the lives of legends from Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Ray Goodman & Brown, Bruce A. Hawes (extraordinary writer for the Sounds of Philadelphia), Gerald Alston of The Manhattans, The Delphonics, Howard Hewett, and Chris Jasper of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognized Isley Brothers. Legends of literary Stanley Bennett Clay and James Earl Hardy also brought their distinct creative prowess to the show, as did professionals from the Broadway stage. GD’s show eventually caught the attention of World Media and through this friendship many of the legends mentioned above were tapped to be guests on the show. His friend, and often times, mentor, Wayne Barros became an influential part of the legacy that he was creating one show at time. His friendship, love, and direction helped enforce an inner-confidence in GD which allowed him to stretch his producing skills so the show would have an entertaining variety for the live listener and archive listeners. Between the two audience variations the show has been listened to by over 40,000 people. It has been successful beyond GD’s wildest dreams, and as Season 6 approaches, the adrenalin within him increases. He begins assembling the guest list next month in April 2015, and…
