If all we have is one I cannot understand why some cannot see the beauty of it beyond the materialistic gloss of things — especially when you can’t take any of those things with you. Things fade just like fads over the years or become obsolete with the introduction of the next best thing, so what good does it do immersing oneself in things.
Things are merely inanimate objects to enhance comfort, but if there’s no one there to share the experience of living with I don’t see the value or worth. An empty 15 bedroom house, with a $500.000 automobile, and closets full of expensive clothes and shoes… I don’t know. The human laugh or touch hold more than any “thing” could possible hold. Things are really just things.
